Around our city are many one-way street signs, information for everyone’s good.

The sign is an illustration of what Jesus Christ said about getting to heaven.

He said that he is the only way to get there,

no other way works,

no other religion

nor our own efforts can get us there.

The Lord Jesus could make this exclusive claim because he alone can pardon the sin that excludes us from heaven.

On the cross he willingly took the punishment that sinners deserve for their sin.

He died in the place of sinners according to the plan of God.

He has made the one way to heaven.

Are you sick of your sin,

aware of your guilt before God

and know that if you died you wouldn’t get into heaven?

Turn from your sin and follow Jesus Christ today.

Trust in him alone to save you from the guilt and power of sin.
